Oregon City Manager Darin DeHaan told the Oregon City Council recently, he feels like they have hired the right person.
Whom he is referring to is Liz Hiemstra who was recently hired as the Director of the Ogle County Economic Development Corporation.
DeHaan said Hiemstra is currently going to communities to see their economic development. Oregon City officials would soon be meeting with her.
DeHaan said ever since they hired Hiemstra they have received many accolades concerning Hiemstra. DeHaan is on the OCEDC. The OCEDC is a non-profit that strengthens local economy.
Hiemstra brings experience in marketing, community engagement and small business support.
