
Whiteside County Sheriff John Booker said Monday that deputies will be working overtime during the Whiteside County Fair schedule through August 16. This to ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience said Booker.
“Our top priority is public safety,” said Booker. Whiteside County Sheriff Deputies will be assigned additional duties to patrol the fairgrounds, assist with traffic control and respond quickly to any incident said the press release.
It went to be stated that deputies will maintain a strong presence throughout the duration of the fair to deter crime, support emergency services, assist food vendors and provide a visible law enforcement presence.
Sheriff Booker also wanted to say that if you are at the fair to stop by the Sheriff’s Office tent to say hi.
