The Dixon Police Department announces the arrest of 49-year-old Medwin Simpson of Dixon for Failure to Report Change of Sex Offender Registration (Class 3 Felony).
On Wednesday, August 6, the Dixon Police Department began an investigation with the assistance of the Illinois Department of Corrections Parole. During the course of the investigation, detectives learned that Simpson failed to update his sex offender registration.
Simpson was arrested on Tuesday, August 12, and transported to the Dixon Police Department. A parole warrant was issued and Simpson was transported to the Lee County Jail
