This past weekend at the Lee County Fair Grounds, it was a time for corndogs, carnival rides, truck and tractor pulls and plenty of livestock judging. It was the annual Lee County Fair and 4H Show.
This past weekend Mother Nature threw a variety at the fair. There was plenty of heat as well as rain. Katie Pratt, Fair Board Member, said they were very pleased with the crowds they had.
She said for the animals they made sure they had plenty of water. Large industrial fans were set up to keep the animals comfortable.
The Lee County 4H members work all year for the fair. They work with their animals a great deal said 4H member Lillian Dyer. Dyer showed her goats and her rabbits. She said the judges look for good lines and that the animals look healthy.
Not just animals were shown as many projects filled the auditorium. Some were crafts, flowers, geology and much more.
