The Sterling Riverfront has been a beehive of activity. During the most recent Sterling City Council meeting, City Manager Scott Schumard said the playground is finished and the splash pad is also almost complete.
Manager Scott Schumard spoke of some things they are waiting on to continue the work. He said ComEd is waiting to get the electricity installed at the Riverfront.
In other news, the city is hoping to soon have another welcome sign similar to the sign at Avenue G and 3rd Street. This would be at the round about to be installed at Science Ridge and Route 40.
