Between 450-500 people lined the streets at the Old Ogle County Courthouse Saturday afternoon.  They were there to participate in the No Kings Protests.  Similar protests were held around the country.  The peaceful demonstration in Oregon had people waving signs, cheering when cars hit their horn and chanted, “This is what Democracy Looks like”.

Organizer of the Oregon protest, Mae Furman said they estimated about 450-500 participants in the protest.

Furman said the main thrust of the protest was because they feel democracy is crumbling in the country.  She referred to President Trump as an Authoritarian Dictator.  Most of those there protested against President Trump and the administration policies.
