An estimated 4-5,000 persons came to Page Park in Dixon Saturday to participate enjoy and show their support for the Annual Pride Event.
The event in Dixon is the only one in the Sauk Valley now. Organizer Andrew Glasscock said they are hoping to organize an event in Sterling and Rock Falls in the near future. As Glasscock put it, they are small, but mighty.
Glasscock said they had about a hundred vendors, which he said he was happy to see. Many of the entertainment from last year returned for this year.
There were some new activities, including a camera booth that showed a 360 degree view of the event as well as a unicorn people were able to sign.
