The Oregon City Council met in session Tuesday night and the meeting got underway with a presentation by Paul Cooney, Ogle County Solid Waste Department Director. He talked about a recent tour of the recycling center in Plainfield IL. and how recycling plays a small role in waste management.
Cooney went on to emphasize how important it is that residents make an effort to wash out plastic milk containers, laundry soap detergent bottles, and even peanut butter jars to help the recycling process.
