Just after midnight on Saturday June 7, Ogle County Deputies responded to the 9000 block of West Illinois 72 for a single motorcycle crash.
After a brief investigation, Deputies determined that the driver, 23-year-old Austin D Mitchell of Leaf River lost control of the motorcycle and crashed into the westbound ditch. Mitchell was transported to FHN Memorial Hospital.
Mitchell was issued citations for Failure to Give Notice of an Accident and Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle, with a future court date.
