On Friday, June 6, Ogle County Deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident with injuries in the 13000 block of E. IL Rte. 64.
Upon arrival, Deputies learned that a Toyota Rav4, driven by 62-year-ol James Miller of Oregon was traveling eastbound in the 13000 block of E. IL Rte. 64. A Chrysler 200, driven by 34-year-old Marquez Mason of Matteson, IL was also traveling eastbound on E. IL Rte. 64 before stopping in a construction zone in front of the Toyota.
The Toyota then failed to reduce speed and struck the rear of the Chrysler, causing heavy damage to both vehicles. Rochelle EMS transported Mason and his passenger, 33-year-old Cynthia Jackson of Chicago, to Rochelle Community Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Miller was issued a citation for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident.
